Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2018

The National Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2018 focusing on improving the economic development of towns and villages involves a two stage process.

Roscommon County Council now invites expressions of interest for consideration and may select a number of proposals for development into detailed applications to be submitted to the Department for assessment. Projects will be required to commence in 2018 and be completed by the end of 2019.

Eligible Towns:

Category 1: Towns/villages with population of 5,000 people or less

Category 2: Towns with population of 5,001 – 10,000

Grant Amounts Available:

Up to 80% of the total cost of a project under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme will be provided for any individual project. The minimum grant which is available is €20,000 and the maximum is €100,000.

Please note that emphasis will be placed on projects that have clear positive economic impacts on the town/village, rather than just public realm-type actions.

Closing date for receipt of fully completed Expressions of Interest by post or by hand to Community & Enterprise Section, Roscommon  County Council, Áras an Chontae, Roscommon or by email to khegarty@roscommoncoco.ie is 5pm on Tuesday 5th June 2018. Late submissions will not be considered.

In order to facilitate communities in preparing an expression of interest, details of the scheme and expression of interest forms are available on www.roscommoncoco.ie
