The Irish Heart Foundation are running a FREE CPR Course in the Hannons Hotel in Roscommon Town on Friday the 14th of February on the following times; 10am, 11.30am & 1pm.
The course concentrates on recognising cardiac arrest, making the emergency call, listening to the call taker and knowing your Eircode. Candidates then get to practice compression-only CPR on a manikin. Awareness of how to use an AED, how to help someone who is choking, how to perform CPR on a child, recognising stroke and the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack are also covered – all in only one hour and for FREE.
