In line with the five-year term of Roscommon County Council the process of registering PPN membership has now commenced. Groups and organisations need to register this year, regardless of whether they were previously members. Membership of Roscommon PPN is usually necessary in order to avail of funding administered by Roscommon County Council.

Roscommon PPN Currently

Michael Quirke has recently been appointed an independent Facilitator by the Department of Rural and Community Development to facilitate the renewal of the PPN in Rosommon.

Michael has many years experience of involvement in the Community and Local Government Sectors. Michael is currently a Trainer with Carmichael Ireland in the area of Governance and has acted as an adviser to another PPN within the last year.

Michael, appointed for a period of twelve (12) months will oversee the renewal of the PPN and help build the capacity of the PPN and its structures while having overall authority for the operation of the PPN. This process is also being supported by the National Public Participation Network(PPN) advisory Group.

What do I need to do now?

In order to remain as a member of Roscommon Public Participation Network it will be necessary for you to register here: https://www.roscommonppn.ie/register/

Groups should register by Thursday 12th September at 5.00pm. The Election of the New Secretariat will then be held.
(Please note that groups must have at least five (5) members, be open to new members and be in existence for at least six (6) months).
